What's the difference between xbox and xbox 360?

I've been offered an xbox for sale $225, complete with 2 controlers, two extra wireless controlers, 13 games. Just want to make sure getting the xbox was OK with xbox 360 being out? Are games compatible? Sorry, but I am trying to suprise my kids and I am a video game moron! :-)

For those who are answering the 360 is better, I guess that was a no brainer.....that's not what I asked, I asked, what the differerences are and are the games compatible or is it like playstation and PS2 where not all games are compatible? Thanks all

The Xbox 360 has much better graphics and more comfortable wireless controllers.

You sure do have a good deal, but it would be a better choice to get an Xbox 360...all of the best games are coming out for it, and you can also play MOST Xbox games.

Xbox 360 is also more fun, you can talk through Xbox Live with headsets, you can play games in High Def, you can download game trailers and demos for free off the dashboard, and simply put, it is the next generation of gaming.

You might as well by an Xbox 360, since someday the Xbox will stop having new games and will be forgotten about. The Xbox 360 still has MANY years ahead of it.

Most Xbox games will work for the Xbox 360. I suggest getting ur kids the Xbox 360 so they can play both Xbox and Xbox 360 games. They will be very happy.

If it's for your kids, an X-Box 1 will be fine for now. $225 is a pretty good deal for what you're getting too.

well x-box 360 you can connect it to the ethernet with that you can play free demos.xbox you can't.x-box you can't play x-box 360 games.and on x-box 360 you can play x-box games!

One has 733mhz 64mb ram. The other has 3200mhz an 512mb ram.....
