EPA says 27 to 32 for Diesel engine passat gasoline 21 to 28 Sounds wishful doesn't it

I don't know what type of Passat you are driving, But I have a 2002 Passat diesel TDI V6 2.5, with 220,000 miles on the clock and I get 40 plus after travelling 5 miles and 52 plus on a run over 20 miles.
