Learn German or don't worry about it. They may be just referring to your ethnic background. I'm a bit German too and I know a tiny bit of the language. I'm also Polish and I know no Polish what so ever :)

I would leave..
If were you were born cannot accept u as is...they are worthless.
Be proud of your hertitage (at least the nonnazi part)... .but dont worry about what others think/say.
Just like I will be proud of my heritage (german,irish,french), despite being born in OKlahoma.
Neither of us need worry about the bad things our parents or grandparents did, only about what we do.
Learn german if u want, but thats not really relevant to the issue here, and really isnt neccesary.

I don't see the problem.
Aren't you proud of your German origins?
Of course, when it really bothers you, you can always learn some German. You may even enjoy it.

well just say i don't care if you was brought up in britain you are british you were only born there but i don't think you have lived there in your life so your not a german

so easy learn german it s funy language , i know that , even if it s will take time , but i think u are luky coz u bellow to other country , and thats great .good luck dear.

learnt o speak German and then tell them off...i am of german heritage and i don't know any at all even though my grand father tried to teach me before he died
