I just came back to US from Warsaw (Poland), and we were only allowed to take our passports, tickets and money on board (not even a book). to tell you the truth, it is difficult to get thru a 9-hour flight without anything to do. However, if these measures would make flying safer, I am all for it. It is a small price to pay for some safety from terrorist attacks.

The restrictions are not bothering me...rather be safe then sorry I would think. We will see how I feel tomorrow, have an early morning flight with my kids, not sure how early to get there. (2 hours ahead will mean leaving my house at 4 in the morning) Made sure I have slip on shoes (like clogs) for easy security check point clearance.
