Why didn't Ford start putting diesel engines in the F-150 in 2004?

The small end of the truck market and a limited amount of Navistar engines. Some f-150 1/2 ton trucks have the V-6 and two different V-8's Ford thought that was enough selection.

they may have probelm with every other truck they have ..Ford on drug ..
