I love Bare Minerals. I wear Fair and for me it covers what I want it to cover, I have dark circles under my eyes and broken capillaries around my nose. The nice thing is you control the coverage if you need more add more.
If you're planning on getting it I would either go to a Bare Escentuals boutique or a Sephora store, that way you'll be sure to get the correct shade for you. Both carry the starter kit which if it's in a shade you need will have everything you need, 2 shades of foundation, warmth, mineral veil, 3 brushes and instructional DVD.
Good luck!!

I didn't like Bare Minerals. I had to use concealer with it and I didn't feel it lasted long enough. I get bags under my eyes (5 mo old baby) and it did nothing for them. It barely covered any acne. I also had to reapply it often. I found it works very well over a liquid foundation as a powder and the bronzer is excellent. I would use the liquid foundation Dermablend Acne Results with Salicylic acid. In the meantime try using a product with benzoyl peroxide to get rid of the acne you already have. Use it twice a day and your break out should be gone within a week.
But anyway back to your question, I really don't think Bare Minerals is worth the money if you need coverage...sorry

I have tried Bare Escentuals, Jane Iredale, Glo Minerals, Physician Formula, Loreal, Philosophy, Everyday Minerals and many more mineral foundations that I do not remember the names. Make the long story short, Bare Escentuals is not the purest minerals in the market. It contains Bismuth so it can cause severe itching. That said, I think Everyday Minerals is the most inexpensive and the purest in the market. As a bonus, the company sends samples for free. The coverage is buildable and makes your skin flawless. Try everydayminerals.com. and good luck!

A friend of mine and her daughter use bare minerals for their foundation and their skin looks like Data from Star Trek's "Next Generation". It is weird shiny.
Try Trucco's wet to dry foundation.
You get it wet with the applicator (sponge) apply it and it dries to a beautiful finish. Depending on how much you put on you can have light to full coverage. People with acne prone skin and oily skin love it. Have a make up artist help you pick out the right shade as the color can be deceiving in a wet to dry product. Trucco is sold in salons where they carry Sebastian hair care products.
Otherwise, if you can't find a Sebastian carrying salon near you, go to the department store and ask for a wet to dry foundation at a couple of different counters... I only use the Trucco brand for my clients, but in my kit I carry brands like MAC and Nars...a little Perscriptives these are reputable counters...Don't let them show you creams that feel dry when put on, they are just not the same...it has to be a powder that you get wet and it dries on your face.

Bare Minerals is amazing makeup. I use it, and I recommend it highly. It really does work. Try the Bare Escentuals brand, you can find it @ sephora.com. It's pricey, but if you're getting married you deserve it. Every woman deserves it.
