If you are an authorized user of the card, your parents can get a card for you with your name imprinted on it. There's no cost for it. They just add that you are an authorized user. This does not make you a co-signer. It just grants their permission for you to make purchases on that account.

The federal law prohibits anyone under the age of 18 (like 16 yrs old) to get a credit card.
You must be at least 18 years old to get a credit card in your name. You must be able to show that you have a regular source of income, whether it be during the school year or during the summers, and a good record for timely bill payments. You will have problems however if you have defaulted on other loans (and cards), bounced cheques, or are in collections for money you owe. If you are having trouble qualifying, you might have to get your parents to co-sign or guarantee your application.
If you are a student, with little credit history, you will not have as much choice as when you will be in the working world. It’ll be near to impossible to get a Visa Gold or a Platinum Amex card. But look around, as there are a lot of plans specifically designed for students (like American Express Blue for Students located at: https://www124.americanexpress.com/cards/loyalty.do?page=bluestudent so there should be something suitable for you. There are cards that give you points towards a purchase of a car, and others that have low monthly interest rates. Don’t content yourself on the first one that comes your way. Seek advice. Ask a lot of questions concerning fees, payments etc.

Usually credit card will only be issued when u start working with salary within their requirement. Yes yr parent can apply a supplementary credit card for you under their own credit card.
And no bank is stupid enough to approve a credit card for a 16 yrs old student.

NO, ur parents can have a card sent that ties to their acct with your name on it. They can request this from their bank. Though you might need a drivers license for some retailers whom do not have a debit card register sysyem whee you would just need the 4 digit pass code. Also, places that use the debit card system wont ask for ID, as you will slide the card and put in the pass code yourself, that would be the only way to use your parents one

You can't get your own credit card before the age of majority in your country because you can't be sued as a minor if you mess up. Your parents can get you a credit card which they are responsible for.

You cant get a card before you are 18, and can hold a credit record. And, it is not legal to be using your parents' card. I am sure if they have permitted you, its okay, but the storeholder might not agree to that, especially if he requires a signature.

Yes you can in the UK, but you have to be the second card holder and a parent or someone over 18 must be the main card holder.

except he became emancipated, or he had an grownup cosigner he's no longer legally able to sign any binding contracts. He could have on no account been issued the cardboard. He did no longer meet the minimum criminal requirement.
