I have to agree with you Paul. Last night I was looking at some of the questions and I was thinking that I might have to block my 11 year old son's access to Yahoo. Some of the questions are pretty explict......

It is not true that children have no clue about adult life. Particularly the ones who have had a hard life. If someone is asking about the effect divorce has on children, I think it is entirely appropriate for even a young child to answer - how they'd feel if it happened to them, how it felt when it did happen to them.
Even in the sexual area, like it or not, some young teens are already experienced in this area. Regardless of whether they have access to Yahoo or not. So they may well have something to say. Or they may have been well taught by their parents how to handle various situations in a sensible manner, so that they would be spared the mistakes which are made on an everyday basis in modern Western society.
And for pure information questions, like how to explain where babies come from, lots of kids already are very precisely informed about that even at the age of five. Complete with correct medical terminology for all the different body parts, even the ones that are not visible from outside, and simple diagrams drawn by Mommy.
Bottom line: A smart*** is a smart***. All smart***es should be banned, and all sensible people allowed to answer - regardless of age.

I agree with you on this issue. But I have also gotten answers from 19 and 20 year olds which showed a lot of thought and compassion. If the teenagers will use maturity in their answers and not sound like immature brats, the answers should be allowed. The ones that upset me are the ones where they have no idea about mature feelings and they try to give a smart-Alec answer.

Some kids answer these questions because they are immature and are trying to be cute. Some adults give inappropriate answers, too, and sound like underage kids. You cannot create a perfect environment even on YQ&A. Everyone who asks questions on here has experienced the same type answers.....Just skip them.

You have a good question. Perhaps the underage kids have observed many things going on with their parents regarding marriage and/or divorce and maybe they feel uniquely "qualified"
to answer some of the questions asked. I suppose with the singles perhaps they feel qualified to answer those questions since they are single. Just a thought.

Dear Sir
I totally agree with you, but some times you see some answers, my God they are awesome, i mean the underage kids and teens are living in families and sadly am saying this but they witness many problems with in the family, so some times they can help from their own experience :)
Best of luck
♥

Because they think they know it all. It's a character flaw at this age. They don't take anything serious, and take pleasure in mocking people. They are immature. Kids are cruel, they haven't learned empathy and haven't experienced enough to be humble. It's some kind of juvenile kick? At this age they think they are invincible and just think that MTV has all the answers. Dumb kids that's all.

Absolutely, but then again, we all know this and take the advice with a grain of salt.
You know, sometimes it is interesting to get a teenage/young outlook on adult problems in all their youthful idealism and naivete

it depends. some are mature enuff to be able to understand about adult situations ..mabye they been through a lot of rough times at a young age.. sometimes age does not determine a person's level of maturity.. personally i know a 45 year old man who behaves like he 25.. tsk... tsk
