I am considering a minor in Economics, and I was wondering if this is a smart decision. I have a major in Political Science and History, and I was wondering if a minor in Economics would help me get a entry-level position in the field of banking or investment banking. I would also like to eventually go into Public Policy and/or Urban Planning. Any suggestions?

An econ minor is good for the public policy portion of your plans. However, the key to a public policy job is usually getting a Masters of Public Administration (MPA). For Urban Planning, econ does not help as much. You could see if your university offers an architecture minor with an emphasis in urban planning.

To secure a career in banking and investment could be good but some accounting should be included too.

I think that Econ is so hard that it would be great to find any job. People that teach Econ usually don't like it. It is a so hard. I don't know why I like money I should be good at Econ. I usually get great grades. I was blessed to get a c+ Spring semester in Mico.
