how do i keep the original icon when i add a favorite.they always change to an ie icon.?

I create my own icons and change the icon in the properties of the favorite item. I use a program called Icon Art. It is free and it allows you to create the icon at the different resolutions. You have to do File, New, 3 size. The 16x16 size is used on the favorites.

Don't clear all the cache. The icons for the favourites are stored in the internet cache along with all the pages and images etc.
