If you're good, you'll die. If you're bad, you'll die. If you're 50:50, you'll die.
Nothing else will happen.

Why are you asking? Is it b/c you truly want to know? Or is it just another bashing of Christians? Since you did ask, regardless of your motive: You can be a good person, and still go to hell. Goodness is not what determines where you go after you die. Asking God to forgive you your sins and receiving the free gift of salvation throught the sacrificial death of Jesus Christ on the cross, that is available to all who will receive it, is what ushers you into heaven. By refusing Christ, you're telling God you don't need what He did for you, and we all do. We're not able to save ourselve b/c we're all sinners. Everyone makes the decision where they'll go after they leave this earth. If you say I don't believe, or I'm not ready now, you've made a decision. What you do with this information is up to you.
P.S. that's right. Purgatory is a Catholic belief. It's not in the Bible.

no, with God nothing is half and half. u either are or u are not interested in going to heaven. when u marry, u say the vows or you dont, the minister wont accept a maybe. if u go into a shop, you have 21 days to return the item if u change your mind, after that, legally, u cant return it. so it is with Christianity, u're either in it for life or u are not. you can always opt out but the Bible warns u against it. God's word is not a game, if u genuinely seek knowledge then speak to Christians, or ask the question to Christians only, otherwise, one gets the impression you're trying to make a mockery of my good intentions and volunteer work i do in the community to believers / non-believers alike, as a Christian. if this is your intention u will suffer for it, u have been warned, and yes, i speak with authority given to me from the Bible, this serves as a warning to all others mocking my Faith.

Are you looking for the Christian answer to this? Well here it is. You don't go to heaven for good deeds you go if you repent your sins to God. Good works alone are not enough to get you into heaven because no one is without sin. Therefore, even a "good" person can go to Hell and if a "bad" person repents they can go to Heaven. This is not to say you can do whatever you want as long as you say sorry because if you have the true grace of God it will lead you to be good.
P.S. Purgatory is a Catholic belief that many Christians do not agree with. It is not mentioned in the Bible.
Edit:
Yes Catholics are in a branch of Christianity. So are Lutherans, Baptists, and many others. Lutherans believe in predestination, many Christians do not. Baptists believe it is a sin to drink alcohol, many Christians do not. While Christians all teach the same fundamentals they do differ on their opinions of many specifics, Purgatory being one of them. That is why I said "many" and not all.

Heaven is a pure place where no sin is allowed. Everybody has sin, even the purest soul. Only through grace are we saved. Therefore the only way to get into Heaven is to accept Jesus and the forgiveness he brings. Only by doing that can we enter heaven as pure and without sin. To God there is no "half & half."

I don't think you can stay alive if that's what you mean. Either by the end of your life (more likely) your good deeds outstrip your bad deeds or vice versa or you become like Jack o' the lantern neither in heaven nor in hell wandering in between both.

no such thing as half and half. its accepting Christ and knowing forgiveness that means God can look at you as good and send ya to Heaven. But if ya just plain bad ya goin to hell. Its not so much about ya deeds directly. but moreso where you stand with regards to God.
please note this is not an excuse for me as a christian to carry on sinning cos im forgiven............one still needs to seek to be good.......by living Gods way, not my own

No, if you are religious, and more specifically Christian, then you will go to Purgatory, the place souls go before they can be sent to Heaven or Hell. If you are not religious, then you will die and become dirt. No matter what, you won't stay where you are now.

Believe what you will but Kaitlyn speaks the greatest truth. Suspicions aside, live well because no one can know what happens to you(r thoughts) after your body decays. How do those who say they know know? Did they die, experience the things they say they know or just hear them from other mortals and simply believe what they heard? I would say live as though every day were to be your last and have no regrets.
