Hi!
I am a Diamond member, and understand your frustration.Actually,we were going to stay at that hotel at Amelia Island, and found them to be rude, and unaccomodating, and so we ended up at St `Augustine, and it was wonderful. We stayed at the Hilton in the Historic District.Very nice.We also used our points to pay for our week long vacation. What you can do is call the customer service #listed on the site at www.hiltonfamily.com Even though you are staying at a Hampton,Hilton covers them all.I would call and complain.Tell them the occasion, also tell them you are members with other chain hotels, but you chose to stay with them. They will somehow accomodate you.I hope this helps some. All customer service seems to have their own interpretation of the point system. Also, you can ask for the manager of the hotel you are wanting to stay at.
