White Snake. Poison. Eagles. Def Leopard. Journey. Boston. Twisted Sister. Alice Cooper. ZZ Top. Rolling Stones. Blondy. Heart. Joan Jet. CCR
Just about any of the rock bands from that time were good. Some are still rocking today.

Slayer, Iron Maiden, Children of Bodom to name a few heavier bands. And of course there's Rancid, The Ramones and The Misfits, and the Dropkick Murphys, the U.S. Bombs, and a good amount of others, my suggestion would be to look up 90s era compilation CDs and give those a go, they'll definately do wonders for helping you find good bands!

I agree with the answerers above, the 90's and before produced some really good music. Bruce Springsteen, the Rolling Stones, the B52's, the Stray cats..it goes on and on

I love the 80s and 90s!
However, I love music by Radio Mundial, especially La Raiz!
