Men do like to look good but the rough unkempt look is also a clear trademark that this is a Man and has a considerable appeal to women.

Men that are obsessed with physical appearance are either shallow and vain or want to be a woman / gay.

It takes years to wear in cloths so they are comfortable so why buy new ones?

Weight is a sign of wealth in many countries. But in truth it's because we are Content with life and do not worry about other peoples op pinion.

Men do not really find size 8 attractive. We would rather have you 12 to 14 or even 16 to 18 than looking like a stick insect.

Most men aren't obsessed with their own physical appearance because they don't need to be to attract a good woman.

I can't answer for most women, but the first thing I look for in a man is a sense of confidence which is usually expressed through his voice. A nice smile and a caring attitude would be next. Women are usually attracted to a man who's in decent physical shape, but it's the artifice that men go for in women that causes women to spend all that time getting 'gussied up'! And the guys don't give a hoot even if they know it's all phony. Women would never drool over fake boobs the way males do--even if the guys absolutely KNOW that they're fake!

What's more, it isn't true that men are not obsessed with their physical appearance. Gay men do the same thing women do for the same reason.....it's what attracts the men!

I think because men don't see the world that way. It all seems fake when you take "make-up, weight-loss, wrinkles, new clothes ...etc." to a certain extent. Men doesn't really care about those kind of things, sure he doesn't want his women overweight but it still gets annoying sometimes to keep hearing the nag of a women.

I don't know where you get your information from babe, but it's wrong. Men are obsessed just as much as women, but you can't generalise like that, cos there are men and women that don't care as well. I know quite a lot of men who have facials, go to the gym, buy expensive clothes, have regular slots at hairdressers, and eat healthy, in fact I'd go so far to say, I know more men that do this than women, and why not, I know I appreciate a well groomed man, don't you?

In the gay community, there is a great emphasis placed on physical looks and youth. Hence why a lot of gay men will go to great lengths.

In the straight community, there are also men who are obsessed with their physical appearance. Waxing was something which people think only women do, but there are a lot of men who do this.

His main priority in life is to make sure his family are economically secure, whereas a womans priority is to tend to the family's emotional needs and stay attractive for the man, so as to keep him working hard to maintain that security lol. Actually some men are obssessed- more and more men nowadays are having plastic surgery, attending gyms and wearing designer. In the past men seemed to care less because from an evolutionary standpoint- Women need to attract males for reproduction.
