Domestic violence can be mental or physical. You don't say why you are in fear, so in terms of help, bit more difficult. Police will deal mainly with physical assault, but they should have a Domestic Violence team/officer who could put you in touch with people that would be of more help in your area, if the police aren't able to help you best. Ring your local main station and ask to speak to their DV officer.

domestic violence would be, imho, any violence whether from a lover, parent, sibling etc. encountered in a domestic ie. not an exterior party so, yes, it would be domestic violence.

get help and good luck.

If it is, go to the police. Since the law was changed recently, they DO have to deal with "domestics" now. Don't put up with it.

Without a doubt.

Nobody should live in fear of their partner.

It can be a surprisingly easy situation to get into and a hard one to escape from.

If you can get advice locally then that would be the best solution.

no relationship can exist under fear.
you have to be free to make a choice.
wether it is dom. voilance or not take a breather and get your head sorted out then look around and see if you still would like to stay in the relationship or find one at equality basis

Yes chick - anything that makes you feel bad about yourself , be it " your hair looks stupid" "you sound dumb" it can be something simple or something drastic like they hit you or worse - you need to get out now, you dont need to live like this with anyone !!
