I know that they also name tropical storms too but I heard that there haven't been any this year yet....is that true, or why don't they tell us about them....?

There were storms named Alberto, Beryl, Chris, and Debby. They were all tropical storms earlier in the season. As soon as a depression becomes a storm, it is given a name. It doesn't matter how strong they are, as long as they become a tropical storm (39-73 mph winds).

there were storms already from a-d tropical storms are usually named becasue they are clostest to developing into a hurricane.
it goes tropical depression, tropical storm, and finally a hurricane
they dont tell us abou them because tropical storms arent really "the big event" compared to the power of a hurricane.
even though hurricane season starts in the beginning of summer. most hurricanes form from august to begininning of november

A was Alberto, but it was a weak tropical strom and went ashore on the gulf coast of Florida, where it broke apart.
D is Debbie and is a tropical storm way out in the Atlantic
and is still out there.

It is because they name theses storms when theyre still a depression and then as they build or decrease in intencity and change to s tropicla storm or into a hurricane, or they they just decipitate into nothing. None of the other a-d made it past tropical storm.

They were tropical storms that did not end up being hurricanes. You must have missed them when they were identified.

All misinformation.
Tropical storms are named and turn or do not turn into hurricanes.
