Not much. I don't really like their music, it's too slick and polished to be real country.
As for their politics, they are idiots. But they have a right to say what they want. Incidentally, NO ONE tried to deny them their free speech rights with that whole incident.
Love, Jack.

How are the Dixie Chicks changing their style? She is as annoying as ever in my opinion. The two sisters never really sang so based on their releases everything is the same. Also this ISN'T ABOUT BUSH. Stop that crap already. Country fans were pissed about it but hey it wasn't the first time a country act did something to piss teh overall supporters of the music. The fans were going to let it go in a little time. That's why they were still getting some air time. No this started because Natalie Manes is a RETARD. She has a big mouth and kept at it thinking she was invincible because her daddy is in teh buisness and made them big to make her big. Yeah she was an add-on to the group so they could get in the door. So the spoiled brat thought she could run her mouth all she wanted. Got away with for awhile. Would have even been ok in a little time as to her anti-Bush comments. No she committed corporate suicide when she started a feud with Toby Keith. He ended it after a little while and said he was immature to act like that and he regreted it. She could have stopped right then and it be seen as she realized how dumb it was too, but she had to wear a shirt at a concert for a song to be broadcast via satellite to the ACMs(award show) that said F.U.T.K. Well that killed their carrer. So now she is attacking Bush so that they can say that is what it was about. Make people forget what REALLY caused the problems.

I never listened to their music and feel they have every right to express their opinions. I find it amusing that they would feel their remarks wouldn't or shouldn't have had some backlash among their fan base. Their career seems to be recovering with a fan-base shift to the north.
I guess the lesson to be learned is that those who entertain for a living earn at the pleasure of their audience, and that if the entertainer bites the hand feeding them, they do so at their own peril.
At the the Dixie Chicks seem to have enough talent, or at the least notoriety, to salvage their career and shift their fan base.
I hope it works out for them, or that they invested the money made earlier wisely and can move on.

They are grown *** women and if they don't like Bush who cares. They have that right. This is American.People are taking what they said way to personal. Bush is not your daddy. And just because they support the troops doesn't mean that they support the president's decision to send them to war. Remember the troops do alot of other things beside fight wars. Remember Katrina it was the Coast Guard who were out there helping those folks. It's the Army who is rebuliding the levee.

I think they are right to stand up for what they believe in - it's just unfortunate that what they believe in robs them of their core fanbase. Going against Bush in Bush's heartland, especially if you're a country singer AND as the two corrolate almost perfectly, is pretty much corporate suicide. It's good that those who agree with them are adopting them as their own, even if the Dixie Chicks do have to change their style to accomodate them.

Their career is SSSSSOOOOO over. They committed professional suicide. We'll find them in the "Old, Used-Up Entertainers Home" soon along with Mel Gibson, John Travolta, and others who didn't know when to keep their mouths closed.

Very funny. I don't suppose you are aware that they said "But we support our troops 100%" after denouncing Bush - that part was suppressed by a leftist journalist with an "agenda". The article is funny though!
