Switch to liquid detergent, powders are terrible for this.

Try to make sure you don't put liquid fabric softener directly onto your clothes, just add it to the running water on the rinse cycle

Often it is detergent residue - make sure you are using a liquid instead of a powder and do smaller loads when washing darks.

definitely the liquid fabric softener, happened to me too. try dryer sheets.
