Killing birds, making disturbing noise, don't give much energy, expensive, destroys the feeling of being out in the wilderness if you can see windmills everywhere.

wind energy is not very effective, first of all you have to have wind...and wind doesn't blow all the time... YOU should think about using Hydrogen power, Hydrogen would be infinitely renewable, therefore cheap, and highly efficient as opposed to the limited amount of gasoline and oil, the efficiency of wind energy, and the dangers of nuclear energy...Solar energy would work fine, but to get the best amount of solar energy you'd have to set up solar panels in space because our magnetic field and ozone layer blocks over 90% of the energy given off from the sun...so to get the most out of it, that's how you would do it...

Terrestrial wind farms are considered by many to be ugly, furthermore, there are only a few areas where there is a constant source of wind.
Arial wind farms that use the jetstream might be a much better alternative.

Not many I'm afraid.... efficiency is low; large land area in windy conditions needed; large startup cost
