I went to a boot fair in Mayfair. I bought a bottle of 34 Chateaux Margaux for 500 pounds. An oil painting by Captain William Webb, Fishing smacks running the storm, 16,000 pounds. A 1967 Shelby Cobra 350GT 19,000 pounds. On the way home i stopped in the riverside bar and had an early lunch, 79 pounds. I wonder what we should do tomorrow, I was thinking of flying up to Isan and dropping in on Resort Caroline have a little fun with Tu, or Jinny, maybe Noy. Anthony, the owner, he's an old friend from uni, bloody nice chap actually.

I love going to the car boot sales. I have had some absolute bargains over the years. Most of my daughters books come from the boot sales as do a lot of their toys. They are always like new and a fraction of the price you would pay in the shops. They beauty is when they are done with them you can have a car boot sale yourself and make yourself a pretty fortune (always amazes me what people will buy and what they will pay!)
Best bargain... I took my twin daughters carbootin' with me one Sunday. They are almost 3. Grandad was rushing us and we forgot to take the double buggy. We had got to the first car boot and after 10 minutes the twins were moaning... I'm tired carry me! So I bought a double buggy for £10. It was in excellent condition and when I got home I sold it to a neighbour for £25! I also got 3 little pine shelves for putting little ornaments on in the twins room. A bargain price of £2 for all 3! I sent a picture of the shelves to Take a Break (woman's weekly mag) and they featured it in their "Car Boot Tales" and paid me £50 for it!!!!! Who said car boot sales are no good??!!!
Best way to spend a Sunday morning!

Hello, from the other side of the pond !!!
a boot fair must be like a flea market, rummage sale, yard sale or garage sale in the US.....is that right?
Hearing "My name is Tweety Pie" very often would be annoying.....ever considered feeding Tweety to a cat...or maybe Tweety stew for supper? It's a thought.....
Be Blessed <><

I love going to the booty. And my daughter likes walking round too. Plus I get a breakfast roll. Hmmmmmmmm, bacon, sausage, egg, onions, mushroms, copious amounts of grease, heart attack and cardiac arrest in a long finger roll.
