When we nearing the middle age we have to change our life styles a little bit.Instead of having a drink try to drink a cup of warm milk in the night. Before going to sleep go for a walk for atleast 30 minutes. If the weather is hot take a bath before going to sleep. And sleep for atleast 7 or 8 ours. So go to sleep at 9.30 pm.Finish your dinner, milk walk and after 1 hour u go to sleep. Early mornign drink warm water ( 3 cups) and in the daytime take fruits and lot of vegetables.More than that spend ypur time with new prople and be happy., you will feel new.

in reality your life style sounds fine, You might want to add more water in you diet, it does make a big difference. you might start taking b-12 I am over 50, get less than 6 hrs of sleep a day and rarely more than 2 1/2 at one time. I work a grave yard shift and have many years but never be good at sleeping much in the day. In short, drink more water, try the B-12 and maybe some E vitamins Oh and one more thing, we aren't as young as we used to be, listen to your body it will tell you what you need

Personally I believe its not the amount of sleep that you are lacking. Try to detoxify your body with a program such as "CleanseSmart" available in health food stores. Sometimes the buildup of sluggish toxins in our bodies contribute to general unwellness, similar to the symptoms you described. change your diet maybe....and look into the stress level. I find working out or even going for a moderate walk after dinner about an hour before bed helps to get that well deserved snooze....Good night and sleep well!

Get regimented about the cigarettes. In time you will have wrinkles above your top lip, not pretty. Not to mention it's sucking the life out of your lungs.
Do you go to bed at 11:00 because you're tired then? Or are you tired earlier and drag bedtime out? Go to bed, regularly, at the time you're tired.
Drink lots of water.
Get some exercise.
Eat right.

In general, seven hours is the minimum amount of sleep needed. Also, If you eat or drink anything with any calories shortly before going to bed, your body won't get adequate rest. You should not eat anything within four hours of going to bed. Calories equal energy so by eating you're providing energy for your body which is contrary to the sleeping/relaxed state.
PS- smoking is bad for you. Your skin will continue to wilt for as long as you continue to smoke.

stop smoking and take at least 6-7 hrs sleep, ur body needs rest. Better to take off from work and sleep for 3-4 days and take complete rest. Nothing to worry, all will be well thereafter...

You are trying to do too much.
Can other people in your life do some of the things you do everyday? You can find more time by delegating a few things.
Say "no" once in awhile.
Look for "lost" time in your day waiting for things and use it to do something.
Buy a book on time efficiency and use some of the suggestions in there. They would have more and probably have some "tips & tricks".

you need more sleep than 6.5 hrs. Go to bed earlier or sleep later.
Cut out the alcohol, see a doc to make sure you don't have any infection/medical issues.
Fit in some actual physical activity/workout if you have a more sedentary lifestyle. Drop the smoking habit.

I doubt you have the symptoms of depression. I dont feel that your problem is because of ageing. Are you feeling disinterested in most of the activities ?
Are you feeling tired always ?
Do you have some problems either at home or at workplace ?
Do you feel even your day to day activities very burdensome ?
If YES then you are most probably having depression.
