to make a small chain...
to hang different light things on walls...
to restart a Bondi Blue iMac
to eject a 3.5” floppy from a Mac Classic if it is stuck
to clean your mobilephone or tour mouse in not so easy to reach parts

Paper clips can be used to create an analogy of polymers and polymerization. Each clip represents a monomer (basic unit). The polymerizing agent is the hands of the linker. Join the paper clips together to form long chains. Put one or two chains in a jar and pour out slowly to illustrate why polymers are more viscous than their monomer forms. Cross link long chains with paper clips to illustrate that form of linkage.

A paperclip is good for.....

-A 'get my cd out of the cd drive when it's stuck tool'
-A cheap hook to hang pictures from in the office (push the paperclip through a photo then have it hang from one end and hang the whole thing on a push pin that pushed into your bulletin board)
-Use several paperclips to make cheap wire sculptures
-A quick fix-it tool when you need to hold two items together by wrapping wire around them
-Making a chain out of it and then using that chain as garland for your christmas tree
