I have a new wool lined jacket, which I will use from sep' on, but it has a biro stain around the top pocket

Vanish stain removing bar. It looks like soap. Wet with cold water. Rub bar all over stain. Wash as normal.

My mother used to say that milk would remove Biro from things. I have tried it myself and it did work. I guess you should be carefull on wool though perhaps try it on the underside first!

I think I would probably take it to a dry cleaners. It may be expensive but it's their job to get stains out so they should be able to do it.
