I think it's bunk. I had heartburn for the first time when I was pregnant with our daughter. She had hair when she was born, but not what I would consider a "full head of hair". Meaning, there was hair there, she wasn't a bald baby, but it wasn't thick at all.
With my older kids, I never had heartburn once, and they all had full, thick hair when they were born.
I think that if it happens that a pregnant woman has heartburn and her child is born is a full head of hair, it's just a coincidence.

It is definitly a myth. I had never had heartburn before I got pregnant. I had heartburn very bad throughout both of my pregnancies. Both my girls were born bald. My oldest is 2 1/2 and FINALLY had enough hair to put up in pigtails and a ponytail. My youngest is 1 1/2 and has maybe a half-inch of hair.

It's a complete myth. I had horrible heartburn with my first and he was born bald as a cucumber. He didn't get any hair until he was almost a year old. Wiht my third I had absolutely no heartburn and she was born with the thickest head of hair. She didn't lose any of it either and has the most beautiful strawberry blonde hair.

I've heard the myth. I had terrible heartburn during my first pregnancy and my baby was as bald as he could be.

No it is not true. My son was born will a full head of hair and I didn't have heartburn. Stay away from spicy foods and eat smaller meal throughout the day.

I think it's made up. I never had heart burn. And both of my children were born with a full head of hair. And I've seen people who did have heartburn and their children weren't born with much hair.

I had serious, serious heartburn with my first two pregnancies. I couldn't sleep at night because of it. Neither of my babies had a head full of hair.

That sounds like an old wives tale. Your baby's genes determine whether it has hair or not when it pops out.
