The mass of the earth is 5.9742 × 10^24 kilograms. Let's say there is one 3000kg car for every occupant of the earth (let's say around 7 billion). This is of course a gross exaggeration. So all the cars weigh about 2.1 × 10^13 kg. That's not even 1/100,000,000,000th the mass of the earth. So, if it does cause any disruption in the earth's rotation, the effects are quite negligable. Even if all the cars simply collided with the earth rather than driving on it. The earth's rotation is no more affected by cars driving on it than a baseball traveling through the air at 150 km/h is affected by a single grain of dust colliding with it.

Think very carefully about this.

Automobiles or any other product is not "an additional" material that has been added to the Earth.

All that exists on Earth was always here, in some other form. Has man added "anything new" to the earth?

Have we taken any material from another planet/source and added it to the Earth's mass or weight?

On the other hand, what would be the effect if we were able to transfer enough materials from Earth to another planet, like the moon, to support a great number of people?

Would that transfer of material and people affect Earth and have an opposite effect on the Moon?

it does not. the clarification is which you have already got an "eastward momentum" even once you're sitting on the runway (through earth's rotation). in case you fly westward (counter to the earth's rotation), you may desire to conquer that preliminary eastward momentum. the tip result's that it takes you in basic terms as long to conceal a definite volume of floor no rely in the experience that your traveling east or west.

NO

Not only do all the cars on the planet have a negligable weight in relation to that of the planet they are all going in different directions so cancel each other out

earth is like a train, the cars you mentioned are like the passengers inside.
If you jump inside the train, it wont go off anywhere out of the track, eventhough there are lots of people standing, chattering, running here and there, wont change the speed of the train.

Good luck with your scienced mind.
