Some people are genuine when they dont send you a card because they really have forgotten for whatever reason. I forgot once! Oh God knows I didn't forget again because they got very angry....but then she always was a drama queen.

Other's who regularily "forget" may have personal reasons for not doing it. If you are not in contact with them, well maybe to send a card might get an unwelcome visit from you.
You may not have done anything to upset them but people are strange.

I know there are people out there who I dont want to see simply because I'm jealous of them or they are nosey or even over- protective. I may have personal things going on that I dont want them to find out.
When these feelings set in, the time passes by and soon those people are almost forgotten. When something like a birthday crops up... I cringe at having to send a card because to me, I feel I am making contact with them. And that, I do not want at all because I'm right back where I was with all those feelings again.

Try to let it go Centipede, and remember their actions may not have anything to do with you. It's probably just themselves.

I don't care and I won't send them any. I don't put much weight in such things. Birthdays are private affairs and only to be celebrated by you/partner and your closest family. So I don't send them and don't expect them.

For those who forgot your birthday, do a tit for tat to them.

This is an age of e-mails, cellphones and text messages. Why not use these to convey birthday greetings? They cost much less and they will receive it almost instantly. Cellphones and e-mails have calender reminders for birthdays........use them.

How old are you? Get over it. My own mother forgets my birthday every year. The best birthday party I had was the one I gave for myself!

I always forget my mates and relatives...they aren't too bothered and neither am I when they "purposely forget mine". More important things to care about!
I just buy em a drink next time were out!

be a bit cheesed off but ultimately I`d come to terms with it and forget about it. It`s nice to receive cards but it`s only a gift.

don't matter to me. I'd perfer that everybody just quietly acknowleged i survived one more year and didn't make a big hairy stink over this simple fact. I kinda wish my family would forget.

To hell with them! I have two sister's and one brother - 9 times out of 10, I don't get anything. I've disowned them!
