US government is out of the control of it's people

No. We lose more freedoms everyday. They worry more about the welfare of other countries than are own. The money sent to other countries could be spent here for food and shelter for the poor. This country was formed with the beliefs of freedom of religion, pursuit of happiness, ect. This still stands if it does not interfere with the governments standards. The only difference between this country and Russia is they knew they weren't free, we still haven't figured it out. So NO, they are very much in control.

Well, if the government stays out of my life I have no worries with them. But being an independant as I am, I play poker online for a living and they are considering it being against the law to do so. It doesnt seem ANYTHING we do, is freedom anymore. I still think its unbelievable how we need a permit to have a garage sale. And yes i know the whole homeland spying thing is going on. Our government I believe definately wants control of this country and the people bring in the money for them to do so. The government has a lot of worries about war and defense, they dont care about the people are you kidding me! You have to think, if you were a high ranking official and know the TRUTH with whats going on in the world ... our country is not a priority right now. Our states are regulated by their own local government, this is why we have different laws in every state ie we arent so "united" now are we but i would agree that the US govt puts more attention into the world rather than the country and the people have no say in ANYTHING. The people didnt want to go to War with Iraq but we did. The reason we did though is because the government knows what its doing, it had a purpose to go over there, something that is kept hidden from the public. So the govt will do what it wants to do regardless of the peoples opinion.
