In Australia you have to be legally separated for 12 months and 1 day before you can apply for a divorce.
You could apply through a Solicitor here to do all the paper work for you, and then he will lodge it in the Family Court, who will in turn give your Solicitor a date for the hearing. As long as you are separated for the required length of time, before applying, your wife cannot contest the divorce.

Australian courts permit only one reason for a divorce and that is that you have seperated for one year and a day.... you can't get a divorce sooner... there is no need for proof of anything and the only way your wife can contest it is to prove you have not been seperated for the required length of time...
