Been to London a lot and in the centre you don't get to meet any real Londoners, we went to the East End last time we were down there and what fabulous people they are, take you into their hearts and treat you like a long lost friend, I thought they were great.

It is very hard for visitors to meet any real Londoners. Everywhere you go, there is no English spoken and everyone is staring at maps or guide books. The people who work in the pubs are from Poland. The people who work in the shops are from the Middle East. Etc. I have no problem with Poland nor the middle East, but point is, they're not Londoners.
But I know there are some real Londoners there, because my sister is one. They avoid everything and have secret bunkers to socialize in. They are clever and warm-hearted and have a great sense of humour!

You can't pigeon hole millions of people. Like any city, there are nice people and there are rude people. Londoners have a reputation for thinking the world revolves around their city and that no other city in the country has what they do. I think those who travel around see that there are just as good restuarants, galleries and theatres as there are in London. I don't think this is limited to just London, I think any capital city dwellers in any country at times can take on that mind set.

Some Londoners are really friendly and nice, while others just aren't. It's the same as in the U.S. Some people will stop and help you pick up the papers you dropped, and some will come up behind you and push you over too. That's life.

I found some Londoners a bit snobbish but I don't judge all of the people living in London by that - there were heaps of friendly ones too... and I love your accents !

I went to London a couple of months ago. And the first person I met barged me out of the way. But then the day after myself and my girlfriend were walking through Hyde Park and looking a bit lost; and this runner then stopped to ask if we needed any help.
So really, some are nice, some aren't, it's the same in any society really.

Like all big city dwellers, you are always in such a HURRY! That's what bugs me most (sorry hope you wanted an honest opinion)
Londoners have such high expectations of everything (especially service), that they're almost always dissapointed. And I find the queing so frustrating I don't blame you for being rude or demanding.

On the whole yes. But London is a very diverse place. The people down Brick Lane are not the same as people in St Johns wood. The city itself is brilliant whichever part of it you are in.
