This was the first song I wrote. I was 12 when I wrote it. It's about the girls who used to be mean to me.

I wear Converse, they wear flip flops
I paint my nails white, they paint their's pink,
I sing songs, and they listen to ipods,
And they laugh at me
So I'm baby that's what you say
You try to being mocked every day.

I feel dumb
and
I feel like an idiot
Tears rolled down my cheeks
As I cried in misery

It was a silent moment,
during the cover of night
I looked up to the roaring
sky,
The wind blew my hair as I walked
by.
The clouds were dark full of rain,
I listened, hoping someone up there would see my pain.....

I feel dumb
I feel like an idiot
Tears rolled down my cheeks
As I cried in misery

I stood on the hill,
while the rain pelted down,
my long brown hair stuck to my face
I looked around in despair
and suddenly a thought came to me.....

I used to feel dumb,
and
I used to feel like an idiot
but then I realized....

This is who I am
This is me!
Why should I be
ashamed of who
I wanna be?

I wear Converse,
they wear flip flops
I paint my nails white, they like pink
When they laugh, I just say,
”Good -for -you -cause -I -don't care
This is me!”
echo
me
me
me

I am a songwriter/musician, and for a first song that isn't bad at all. It has a more poetic side to it, but I can still feel the song inside of it. If I were you I would get an acoustic guitar for $100 dollars, you can get a whole starter pack for that. You should also get a tascam MF-P01- 4 track cassette recorder so you can record the songs you write. www.musiciansfriend.com or your local music shop.....or Guitar Center.

I basically got sick of it by the 2nd verse, but can't expect much from a time when your songwriting ability may not have been as refined as it maybe now, so kudos for the effort, keep at it and you can only get better!

Oh, that is sooo pretty, I used to write songs too, but now I write poetry. Keep it up, it helps you express yourself and grow as a person.
