just keep your receipts. If you're buying for a company, and you don't have authorization to supply the company with candy and/or cards, then the company doesn't have to pay you back for what you spent. Positive: you can demonstrate that you can be trusted with other people's or a corporation's money.
Negative: Your out the money you spent, and you demonstrate to everyone that you are a jerk that cannot be trusted, and who makes decisions without authorization. A real career-killer.
