Probably a politician..it may be lower on the evolutionary scale than the other rodents, but at least they get lots of perks...and all on the taxpayers money!

I would be my hamster nibbles because they sleep all day and are awake at night and you could annoy everyone by chewing on the bars and going on the wheel

I think a sewer rat, because there is always accomodation available and no-one hassles them to clean up around the place.

A sugar glider or flying squirrel. Because its the nearest I'd get to being able to fly.
