I tried to organize this once in 5th grade. My friend and I were in his backyard and pretended we were being attacked by martians, and the only solution was for everyone in the world to fart at the same time. I dont' think it would burst your eardrums because everyone would be so spread apart you would only hear like everyone in your neighborhood.

It would be tough to coordinate. No, I don't think it would burst eardrums. However, it would NOT smell good.
