I get sensitive the day after my birthday and I stay like that for the year!
I was fine until I reached 22 and realised everyone expected me to be grown up. Well I feel sixteen inside and in a few months I will be 24 which means I am officially mid twenties!
It is the change coming I think is what makes us sensitive. We have spent a year being one age then overnight we are another.
I do share my birthday with Brad Pitt though so that always makes me smile:D

Yes, I do. The days before my birthday everyone is trying to hype it, make me excited and it's all "Yay! You're older! You get to do more things!" (I'm 19, so there's been the driving thing, the being legal thing, and coming up, drinking thing.) but I don't see it that way. I see it as I'm going to get older, and one step closer to be old aged, and with old age comes death, and I'm slightly afraid of death so getting older isn't very fun for me. It's not apart of myself I can easily imagine.
The days following my birthday, everything and everyone just stops. It has come and gone, and it's nothing special or new anymore, and all I have left is me now being one year older. One year closer. And the years go by so quickly, so before I know it another year past will be knocking at the door again.
... But horray for presents! :D

in a kind, i guess. it does not concern with my getting older though. the few days before the birthday usually goes by with anticipation and expectations about how the day is going to be. and the next few days are either full of disappointment or happiness on the basis of what happened on that day - who remembered, who did not ..
i dont feel emotional about my getting older .. its naturan, isnt it?

Didn't used to, but with my birthday been at Christmas and my mom not been here anymore it does get me emotional, its because you miss your loved ones more at Christmas when there not here anymore and having a birthday to deal with too just gets to you at times, bit hard but you have to get on with it.
