One way similar. The motion of electric charges (electric current)will generate a magnetic field. The motion of a magnet will generate an electric current in a conductor nearby.
One way they differ. Positive and negative electric charges can be isolated (electrons, protons). Magnets exist only in poles (North and South) pairs. No magnetic monopole has ever been obsverved. The existence of such monopoles is postulated in some theories.

In one way that the concepts of electric charges and magnetic poles are similar is that there are two opposite kinds of electric charge and so also two opposite kinds of magnetic poles. The properties of charges and poles are similar in the sense that like charges and like poles repeal each other whereas unlike charges and poles attract The field intensities of both obey inverse square law.

both of them produce field around . but as long as i know magnetic charge is a hypothesis not a scintific law.
