I am an Australian and it pains me to know that many people around the northern hemisphere do not know that southern hemisphere seasons are at opposites to the north.
When its summer in Australia its winter in USA and vice versa you dumb asses.

Listen you ozzie geek. You are desended from a former Irish prisoners. I AM educated and I do know about the seasons in the southern hemisphere. Now you tell me why do you Fosters swilling wombats, need an opera house?

Knowledge and education are 2 different things. Most students are only focused on subject matter that they feel applies to their geocentric lives and tend to make no effort to retain details such as the opposite seasons of the northern and southern hemispheres. I would be disappointed if a biology major did not know this particular fact. Experienced world traveler's should also know this fact.

You're right and it's depressing--this is grade school level stuff. America's public schools suck. I once had a grown man ask me if the dinosaur footage on TV was genuine or animated...and he wasn't kidding.

Maybe one day our government will start caring more about education than war....but unfortunately today is not that day. It would also help if the American parents took more part in their children's education.

Because many folks thing that they will just get the education, but life then becomes too busy and poof it's over...

And as a note Kangaroo meat is very good, do not knock it if you have not tried it..."educate yourself on this front as well"

Sheesh, it sounds the wintertime blues have struck you. It's hard to remember that someone is as cold as you probably are right now when we've been having 100 degree temperatures, though.

It is just possible that there are some that could care less and then there are others who may have other things that are more important in their lives than worry about something like that
