Ermmmm
Ratts is a bloke called Ed, Mouse is my girlfriend
So I hope to hell they do differ, significantly
And the answers below about then being the same species are rubbish.
They are not even the same genus

They are both very similiar, but point well made, obviously rats are bigger in size. They unfortunately have many of the same medical illnesses in common and that seem to affect their body systems in the same way. I have a pet mouse, who is absolutely adorable, charming and smart! I have heard rats are even smarter (they have bigger brains), but with enough socialization they are great little pets! What do you mean by "study" them? Cut them up for dissection? I agree, that is just gross! I could never do that. Check out some pet rat and mouse sites for more info!
