You are really broadening your horizons. I'm glad you are thinking of watering your grass. I"m sorry about your plants being scorched and ruined, but its a good sign of your own mental recovery.

You can buy an adapter to fit your faucet(kitchen), make sure you can
unscrew the part where water comes out and screw the adapter to this,
then attach your garden hose and turn on the hot water. Drawback of this is
a hose running through your house or window, we used this method to fill a
kids pool with warm water.

sometimes it never effects the plants but still if you dont want to water with hot water then there is only one thing to say
add ice to the water

tap into the hot water line and run it out side the same as the cold

Hot water will kill the grass. Why would you want to do that?
