Yes I am to a degree.

On my job I am anti-social and don't like to lunch with certain coworkers because I choose not to gossip about people who I cannot change their thinking or the way they do things so why talk about them?

I am anti-social when it comes to hanging out with my friends. I can take them or leave them for days and not be around them because I like my own space.

I don't like social events and rarely go because then I am forced to be "pleasant" around people who I will never hang out with if you paid me and make meaningless conversation about God knows what!

I am anti-social when it comes to meeting new people and if I don't like them then I won't compromise for my friends sake and be around these people that they have introduced me to.

I guess you might say that my being anti-social also verges on being super independent. For me, they go hand in hand.

Depends on the society and what the prevailing mentality is at the moment.

Right now I couldn't give too flying flips about the topics that are "on everyone's mind". I find it boring and trite.

I'd rather shine my shoes and watch the clouds float by than try and keep up with a psuedo-intellectual discussion about media generated "conversational topics".

Am I anti-social? Nah. Just picky about when I contribute.

No point in talking to brick walls.

What is anti-social?

Anti-social = anti-socialism???

And since socialism is similar to communism: anti-socialism = anti-communism??

Or anti-social = hating the world/society??

Suggestion: read The Fountainhead - Ayn Rand

Yes, I'm friendly, but I make no friends... I'm a hermit in my house. I have no guests.

i am to the people i don't like, i am polite but don't do anything with them, i have people i like to be around and i do things with them, so i guess it depends on ur definition of antisocial.
