IF you were in Russia How would you handle a situation such as this? What doesn't he want you to do, or what does he want you to do? If you can try and talk about what he's so afraid of if you did work? Does he think you'll leave him? Would you? Either way, keep your morals high, and set your standards for what is acceptable to you and what is not. The world is a big place but that doesn't mean you have to play the roll of a fool in it, You can have your hearts desires, if you work hard and believe in YOURSELF. Ask yourself HOW BAD DO YOU WANT IT? you don't have to call in the KGB, to have a taste of a life of your own. Seek out tell answers with righteous conviction and people will help show you a way. Good luck & remember it doesn't matter where you come from what matters is that you are here & where your going next. GOOD LUCK< DONT BE AFRAID TO GO FOR WHAT YOU want.

I'm not sure where you live but I would take my marriage license, passport etc. to immigration & apply as a resident alien. If you want your green card he will have to do the paperwork & go to the interview...So if he's not playing ball I would start seeking other avenues. I would also seek out other Russian nationals in your area, (cultural center, social clubs) they may be able to assist you.
