I don't have one, but I'd quite fancy one. Thing is I don't want to look like a chav or a slapper (because I'm not, I just like the jewellery) so, if I thought that was what people were thinking I probably wouldn't have it done.

Hi, it depends how you wear it, one of may mates mum has got it done and she wears short tops to let it show and its not a pretty sight. Im not saying you have to be stick thin as i had mine done and im no stick thin but you dont ahve to wear it like a teenager to have one. wear your belly bar with like a blouse and just open at the belly so you can still see your belly bar and this way you will look stylish not like a 40 something has shrunk all her clothes in the wash, to look like she is 18 again. But make sure you clean it and let it heal, sometimes it takes nearly a year to heal, mine went mancky and so did everyone elses i know, But its up to you it always comes, out. I say you only live once, so do what you want to do. Who cares what people think

I think women past their twenties shouldn't have their belly's pierced...it just looks trashy then. But hey, ya know, it's all in how you wear it anyway. If you like it then get it, there are exceptions to every rule. Look at Madonna....she looks better than women half her age, literally. Embrace yourself, and what you want, and forget what society thinks. You are asking an audience that has a vast amount of younger people. Anyone older is never 'cool' anyway in their eyes. Trying to give you an honest perspective here. If it'd give you a thrill, why the heck not....who cares what anyone thinks...it's not like a tat...you can always take it out.

I think that if you had already had one, then it's not too bad, but I personally wouldn't go and get one done at 40, but thats just my prefence, it's up to you at the end of the day!

If you want it done then go for it. If you don't like it take it out and it'll heal over no harm done. My mam was very anti piercing and tatts (i think this may have been to discourage me when I younger though!!1) . But then she decided maybe she'd get her nose pierced so she did and now she has three tatts...but she got them done for her cause she wanted them and I think thats the point...do it if it'll make YOU happy

i think you can have what you want despite your age. age is just a number. and a little bit of what you fancy does you good. you go for it. but be warned it doesnt hurt having it done but it does hurt for months afterwards. mine took a year to heal. and dont forget to wash it every day in salt water.

You shouldn't worry about what people think. If you want it, then fine.

You don't have to show it off all the time anyway, you can just show it for special occasions where it is appropriate.

So many people have them nowadays I don't think it is a big thing.

Go for it hon!

I don't see why you shouldn't go ahead and get one done, except if you are going to wear short tops to show it off.. I have one and can tell you plenty of my friends wouldn't know that I have one as I don't show it off. It's purely for me as I like them. Go on it doesn't hurt to have it done.
