Hi!
Yeah... those number have changed.
The new number should be: 00..58..212..9771492
Let me explain:
00 = is the cod you dial from your country to get a line for an international code.
58 = is Venezuela's telephone code. That remains the same.
2 = that was the Caracas telephone code up until... 9 years ago? I think. It was actually "02", but when dialing from outside the zero is spared. The code for Caracas was changed to "0212", which means you should dial "212" after the "58".
771492 = is the phone numbers. Currently there are no six-digit phone numbers in Venezuela anymore. From around the same time the City codes where changed, the local area codes were also adjusted. The numbers beggining with "77" where changed to "977". That number is from a person that lives at Caracas' South East (could be either: Cumbres, Prados del Este, Alto Prado, Los Campitos, Santa Fe, La Alameda or around)
So, if the person lives in the same place, their actual number would be: 58 212 9771492.
(I gave the whole explanation so you know I'm not making the whole thing up! Try it and see. And do tell me if you get in touch!)
(And... may I suggest next time to classify this question in the TRAVEL / LATIN AMERICA / VENEZUELA section? I think you would have gotten a faster answer!)
Goodluck!

How would others know that? You should try the telephone directory service.
