George Reeves ( no relation to Christopher) I watched Superman in the 50's all the time. Yep! I'm that old. I see the dvd's are released now for the series. Gotta get those. Oh, by the way He didn't kill himself, thats what they wanted you to believe. He was seeing a lady he should not have been seeing and he was murdered! They knew, just no proof, but I hear that some proof has surfaced and there's been a whole new interest in the old case. Hollywoodland is loosely and not accurately based on the events.

George Reeves (No relation to Christopher Reeve). Delighted kids around the US with his portrayal of the Man of Steel. Sadly, he killed himself due to depression of being typecast as Superman.
