A lot of people who know me say I am an Extrovert, but I enjoy being alone. I too, do not do well in a crowded room of people, however, I have been known to be Vivacious in a party setting, I prefer not to.
I believe as you do, extroverts feed off the energy level of those around them, I don't think I get exhausted from them, I think I get annoyed by the plastic place setting itself.

Just because I don't need to be constantly surrounded by other people doesn't mean I hate them. I do find people exhausting but that does not necessarily mean I don't value other peoples opinions or feelings. I like a lot if individual people it's just when you get them all in a group, I go off and read a book.

Introverts don't hate people, they just find them draining, whereas, extroverts feel energized by others.
Few people are extreme, most of us all somewhere on a continuium with traits of both.

Neither, because I can count higher than two and therefore be one or more other types of person.
Try it sometime. Start by learning how to count to three. As soon as you do, you'll start to see more types of people than just extroverted and introverted, and you'll start to react to the new types in new ways.
It'll help you expand your mind.

i am an extrovert, my guy is an introvert, we disagree on how i should act in every given situation. when i am without him i am friendly, when i am with him I'm polite. and yes it is exhausting
