I was playing World of Warcraft when my computer suddenly restarted itself. Everytime I try to log back into the game my computer restarts itself when the game is almost finished loading. I got the error message "Unknown device driver" and support websites say to uninstall any recently added hardware, but I can't think of anything. Does anyone know why I keep getting a message about a "driver" ONLY when I log into World of Warcraft? Also, I've been playing this game on my computer now for four months without any problems whatsoever. I have no idea how to fix this problem, any help or advice is greatly appreciated.

Maybe some of your drivers got corrupted when the pc restarted.
Go to device manager ( right click My Computer -properties -hardware -device manager) and check if any devices has an questin mark next to it? You'll probably need to reinstall them.
If not, check pc for virusse, update directX, your display drivers, maybe your sound drivers.
If all is fine and your game still doesn't work, you'll have to reinstall the game.

you first uninstall the game if u have it in cd .then clean the system registry once with the software you have and then restart the system .now refresh the system once then got to my computer and right click on mouse go to properties and then click on hardware then on device manager then once scan the computer for hardware changes by clicking on the icon which has a computer symbol with a lens and then if it shows any thing with if it shows any thing with question mark then you have to install the software for that particular one.i think the main problem is with graphics its was not compatible with your hardware profile

Have you created restore points? I don't know exactly what would be causing WoW to do that, but if you have a restore point created recently it's probably just worth it to restore a time before you started having these errors and see if that works. If there are no restore points you could always try re-installing WoW maybe that would help, but i'm sure someone on here that knows what they're talking about can help you better. Good Luck.

Try checking the Device manger for errors.

To finf the Device Manager, right click on "My Computer" and click "Properties". Now Click on the "Hardware" tab and click the "Device Manager" button.

Look for any yellow exclamation marks or question marks (look at this image for an example: http://www.infopackets.com/graphics/device+manager.gif )

Let us know if there are any and we can go from there.

Also, what version of Windows are you running?

Go into your World of Warcraft folder. Find the folders called "WDB" "WTF" and "Interface" and remove them. (Put them somewhere safe, like the desktop) Restart WoW. Does the problem persist?

You may have luck contacting the WoW tech support forums during Pacific time business hours http://forums.worldofwarcraft.com/board.html?forumId=11110

Hope that helps.
