I just had an email from Misco. They have one for just over £350 with an Intel celeron processor and 256 Mb RAM 40 GB HDD and a CD re-writer. Their prices are good - also try Aria for one in their super specials. I bought mine from Comet. Cost about £700 - but it's wide-screen, wireless, 1 gig of RAM, 100 Gig HDD, and is by HP. You get what you pay for obviously. But they go out of date fast. I know someone who bought one for over £2,000 a few years ago and it's nowhere near as good as mine. So just buy what you need. I had a DVB stick with mine too from Maplin - and I've been watching freeview digital TV in bed - that good. Being wireless means you can use it anywhere in the house. being HP it had a few extras, like a remote control for music and DVD and a 6 in 1 card reader. If you do mutual points - go through them - I got over 1500 points when I bought mine - worth a tenner - every little helps!

Have a look at what deals computer stores are doing find one that you like and go haggle the price!

Or ask for a few extras, If they say no, tell them you have seen a
better laptop in a rival store but you wanted to buy it from them, They should give in then.

Look in woolworths, eBay, Google it, You can pick up a fantastic one for about £250 on eBay.

You connect it to your computer with a RJ45 Cable, to check you can do it see if there is a LAN port it looks like a big modem port, most of the time it is near the USB ports. If you have got one, plug the RJ45 cables to both computers and go through the network connection wizard. Clicking on "I want to connect to the internet using a home/office network"

Hope this helps!

Loads of good ones but Dell on average seems to come out best for reliability.
My advice is dont connect via another computer. Have all your computers connect directly via a wireless adsl modem router.

Routers are truly small broadcasting station to your internet connection. basically, your internet is going into the router and is derived out as a sign which would be utilized by using computers and different gadgets. i might reccomend a Belkin or Netgear router as they are frequently decrease priced and get the job executed, inspite of the undeniable fact that a extra high priced router, which incorporate a Linksys router, might have a farther broadcast variety and you would be waiting to flow further removed from the routter without dropping connection. wish I helped :)
