Get a football collectors case from your local sports memorabilia store they cost like 20 dollars. I have several and they are just fine in the cases.

Spary it with hairspray and let it dry. Not to much is needed. Don't put to much on that it runs down the ball. Just a quick spray will do it. Some say use clear fingernail polish too.

Keep out of direct sunlight and put in a protective case.

clear nail polish or the material they use on wooden floors to preserve them, it looks like plastic when dry. or u can use that white craft glue, when it dries it becomes transparent.
