Well there is an old Native American story that tells of the great battle with the Sasquatchians. It is such an old tale and been handed down so many times over the years it is hard to piece the real story together.I will do my best for you. It seems that when the first white man made his way across this country long before Lewis and Clark. The Sasquatch and the Native Americans lived in piece and harmony with one another. Then one day the daughter of one of the great chieftains fell victim to one of the Sasquatch love spells. Well the chief could not live with the thought of his daughter marring one of them big ugly Sasquatches. He sent for the medicine man and together they tried every thing the two of them could come with to break the spell. All to no avail. This left the chief no other choice as he saw. He had to bring death to the Sasquatch. He called into his tepee his three strongest and smartest braves , where for four days and nights they plotted the death of the Sasquatch. Once they had settled on a plan they went forth into the wilderness and executed their plan of death. Everything went well and for two weeks they were all abliss with joy. Then on the eve of the first rain of the spring while all the Native Americans were huddling in their tepees for warmth from the rain, the Sasquatch had descended upon them a rain of terror and death like no other tribe had experienced afore. Such was the terror and death that no Native American has ever fully described. After four hours there was nothing left breathing in the entire village. The Sasquatch had killed and ate everything , yes ate the Native Americans. Some how with all the rain of terror going on the Sasquatch had not notice just out side the village in a tall tree there hid the first white man , the great trapper, Muskrat Pete. He witnessed the whole dreaded affair from his hiding place atop the trees.Once the Sasquatch had departed , he attempted to flea when a few of the Native Americans who had been out hunting in the rain had returned to find him fleeing from the village. They captured him and through much questioning they realized what they must do. They stayed the night planning the attack on the Sasquatch camp. The next morning about two hours afore daybreak they let fly every arrow they had, all wrapped with flaming rags. This started a massive fire in the camp which caused much confusion amongst the Sasquatch. During this time the hunting party used every trick in the book to kill each and every Sasquatch. Then the took the heads of the Sasquatch and stuck them on poles and paraded around the wilderness with them held high.Never again was a Sasquatch sighted.
