These have been the most lucid, profound months of my life, a time of incredible growth for me. My heart and soul have been in a deliciously decadent hibernation or metamorphosis for several years and, all at once, a new me is emerging. Wiser. Stronger. Peaceful. I live on a hill by the sea against a great pine forest full of life. Sturgeon the size of sofas leap from the water of the bay below my house and plunge back in like dolphins. Fishing boats putter by in and out with the tides through the morning and midnight mists. I'm learning about the stars with a cheap telescope. After half a century of deep desire to see the surface of the moon with my own eyes through a telescope, I finally got to do it. And, I'm writing math and science books for young children. All's good and well in my life.

I have a wonderful life, I am happy and contented. I am also sad, and tormented. Life isn't that simple things change by the second and I like it that way. I never stop learning and that suites me. I have achieved many goals and have many more to achieve, some I don't even know I want to achieve yet. Life is a series of events some good, some bad, most indifferent, I make the best of what I have, and dream of more. I cope with despair, and revel in the joys. Creating is my bread and butter, and sleeping is a little slice of heaven. All in all quality of life is great.

I would say that I personally might be somewhat materialistic. But we all kind of are. Anyhow, I've learned that it really isn't about that stuff. One's quality of life is the same as the quality that one treats their own life with. Because the truth is is that it's you against the world. So if you choose to do anything with a negative perspective, naturally you won't see a any good outcome even if that is the case.
So this basically means: make the best out of your life and try your hardest to not let the details of day-to-day interfere with your ultimate happiness. If you exert negative energy, you're only hurting yourself and putting yourself in a negative mindset which won't help you advance in anything at all. It can only hurt you. That person or whatever you target negatively can easily choose to not pay attention to the negative energy you exert at all; that target could completely block your negativity out....so now who's losing???? You're doing it to yourself, because you now let yourself get mad when you could have just not paid attention to it or let it get to you. Think about what makes you happy instead of what makes you angry at the end of the day.
It's hard to do all that but hey, when you get to that point where you are capable to at least do it most of the time, life is so much easier and fun. Because, let's face it, life doesn't make too much sense and life is a BIT** for everybody.

I certainly don't live an idealistic life with everything rosy and good all the time but I've learned to appreciate my life. I've had the opportunity to love someone passionately, have a career that I enjoy and have gained financial security. I've also felt the pain of losing a loved one, being disappointed w/life and sometimes even w/myself. I don't want to ever be content and try to meet each day with some type of excitement and expectation. Some days tend to be harder than others but I look forward to each one.

Pretty good once I just stopped giving a about everything and decided to pretty much be a kid forever and stop trying to prove myself to anybody or take on any kind of responsible adult life.
I tried the responsible adult life "making your way in the world" thing: B.S. degree, marriage, striving for a "successful" career, etc. etc. But I'm now divorced, $40,000 in debt I can never repay, have no "real" career, expatriated from America, lucky to be alive, etc. etc. I used to be a real adult but have since "collapsed" into total "loserdom/childishness".
Never been happier.

I have a great life since I accepted Christ into it. I have my ups and downs like anyone else, but I find it much easier to cope. I used to endure each day, bemoaning my fate every time things went against me, wondering what the whole point to it all was, but that's all gone. I now happily look forward to each day and live it to the full. Go well, and God Bless!

I lead the life I want to lead - and take each day as it comes my way. I try not to plan for anything. I try to help as much as I can. I try to please mysefl as much as I can. I try to make the world a brighter place for my family.
