In, school you see classmate A rummaging through the bag of classmate B. Later, you hear classmate B telling some classmates that the expensive bracelet placed in her bag is missing....

Depends on how involved you want to get, you could talk to classmate B and tell them you saw them in classmate A's bag. You could talk to the school authorities and explain the situation. You could talk to classmate B and explain seeing classmate A in the bag. Since you didn't actually see the bracelet being lifted you shouldn't assume that that is what classmate A was doing in the bag. If you take any steps be sure to keep this fact a part of any conversation.

this is a class 2 felony in many states and if you fail to report a felony crime where you witnessed the alleged perpetrator commit the crime ,you too have broken the law and could face jail or fines for your innaction. Therefore only one option is available , call the police and then let them handle the investigation and retrieval of property, as well as punishing the alleged perpetrator. Id say you also have a moral obligation as well.

well, is A friends with B? Just tell them, couldnt hurt, but dont accuse anyone, just say to ask around and that you saw someone going through their bag.

i think you should talk to your classmate A about it,, try to tell her/ him what you saw, and then give him/ her some advice...
